Mawwiage

Oh shit.  Motherfucking royal wedding today!  That's right William, hit that shit all the way to the bank!

I may or may not be drunk tonight.  I can't remember.  But that's what happens when one may or may not be drunk.  I'm poised for a rant about something specific in my life, but not quite at this moment.  Too tired.  You guys stay classy

Back to our regular scheduled programming (Beware, possibly unnerving photo included)

Thanks to you guys for being supportive when I was kind of down in the dumps.  It's in the past now.

Yesterday I went to the Milwaukee Public Museum with two friends of mine.  It was a kind of get out of town for a day scenario.  I've been to MPM a few times in my youth with family and for school trips, but it had been over a decade since I've been there.  Not much has changed.

However, during this time, MPM is host to a exhibition showcase called Mummies of the World.  It was awesome, and extremely creepy.  Not only did the exhibit include traditional Egyptian mummies that we have all come to know and love, but it also had several mummies from South America, Asia, and Europe (Including bog mummies).  A few interesting tidbits of information: indigenous people of Argentina and Chile began using the environment to preserve their dead before the practice began in Egypt, the unintentional mummification of the deceased has occurred in European Crypts, and when the mummies have a traceable name and a history, they are even creepier.  I'm a pretty jaded individual; I can deal with gore and all that good stuff, but there's something unnerving about looking at something that used to be a person.  I couldn't go near the coffin at my mother's funeral two years ago because it was just unnatural, and as much as I find mummies fascinating, looking at bodies in such a manner seems to trivialize death.  There were two instances at the exhibition that were the creepiest: first, the uncanny amount of child mummies on display.  A lot.  And in the exhibition, you see children with their parents, and then look over at something that was once as vibrant and alive (and annoying) as those talking and moving around you.  Second, the last 5 mummies in the exhibition have names.  They were found in German crypts, and they have names.  A nameless mummy is one thing, but these people have names, and you can read their histories and know their life because it's all documented in records.  They only died 200 years ago, and here I am staring at their corpse.  Awesome, interesting, and completely fucking creepy.

All in all, though, it was a great day

Lol part 2: Electric Boogaloo

I'm trying to sift through the massive quantities of what probably is all spam.  This is a place holder.  Update soon

UPDATE:

I'm pretty sure it's all spam.  All of it.  The messages are the same repeat over and over again.  They either talk about being one of "insert job" who travel around a lot, or similar themes.  And then have a link to some dating or hook up site.  It's a good thing this wasn't serious, or it may be discouraging.  Hilarious possibly, but discouraging

Lol

So, apparently i filled out a craigslist ad for casual encounters on thursday when I was drunk.  Something about fisting.   Fucking classy, I know.  But I've already got response for it.  What the fuck to do?

Answer them?  Not answer them?  What do?

Jay has already gave me the best idea ever.  Word, bro.  And cheap plug, check out his blog the reel photo. He posts some really cool photos and explains where they came from and a lot about them.  Check his blog out.  But yeah, I smell a social experiment coming on.  I'll post some photos and e-mails in coming messages as this pans out.  Who know? I might get a little action.  Emphasis on little (lol).

I am waiting for a bus

I didn't do it.

So, my new, gently used nintendo DS and copy of pokemon white should have showed up today.  But nothing in sight.  According to Amazon's package tracking thing, it arrived in New Berlin yesterday at around noon.  Which is only an hour away.  So why Isn;t it here yet? I feel kind of like an impatient child, but it's a really boring Saturday so far.  I could use with a distraction or two.

Wait. Am I Drunk Again? Fuck Yeah I am

Been a busy week. Went out celebrating a friend's new job. Plus, got my state tax return. So I've got money again. Replaced my broken Nintendo DS so I could get pokemon White; I'm geeky as shit, deal with it. But, it's been a pretty good week, so I'm going to leave with a high note, throw out some more music. Hope you guys enjoy it. Hopefully, I'll check blogs and stuff more thoroughly this week; I was lackluster in my comments last week. But I still support all of your guys's endeavors. So here is some music. Lay back, enjoy, and chill.
